Great training today, spent about minutes doing flexibility/mobility and it helped a lot after heavy squats yesterday. I always used to think deads to knee's were useless. Levon explained to me why they are done and how they would be the best thing for my deadlift lockout issues. I definitely could see that as I was doing them!
Why are deadlifts to knees useful?
ReplyDeleteHe told me my problem with deads is that, I'm trying to "stand up" too early..ie throwing my shoulders back before my glutes have a chance to finish while it should be the other way around, maintaining same back angle off the floor to knee height or higher, than finishing the glutes and throwing the shoulders back. Doing the pulls to knee's and holding at knee level really showed me what that meant
ReplyDeleteI will ponder this for a while.
